Information gained through OOC means, be that out of character messages or chats, the who list, third-party hearsay, out of client communications, or any such other methods of exchanging or collecting information is not to be used IC in any way, shape, or form without explicit permission or consent from the person directly effected by said information. 

Furthermore, it bears repeating that taking action that could effect another player or character in a way they are not comfortable with WITHOUT THEIR EXPLICIT CONSENT is a violation of the rules put in place to preserve the playing experience for our customers. Any and all found in violation of either of the above mentioned can and will be subject to corrective action at our sole discretion.

Effective immediately, we (staff) will no longer respond to inquiries and requests on platforms outside of client (ie; PMs, Discord, direct messages etc). We kindly request that all questions, requests, concerns (non-emergent) be directed through the AoE client via @assist. While we will continue to utilize Discord to share information and use in-client communication channels, by reminding players to use @assist we as staff can ensure efficient responses to your inquiries. This approach allows us to centralize our efforts, maintain accurate records, and provide consistent support to all our players. An emergent concern refers to a situation that violates AoE's Terms of Service, or ToS. Please feel free to send us a direct message with a detailed description of the issue you have encountered. We sincerely appreciate our players and their understanding!

10 STPs off the pricing (generic or custom) for all cats, dogs, horses, and livestock animals. 

10 STPs off the pricing for complex mods (tattoos, scents, et cetera) normally priced at 50 STPs each. 

20 STPs off custom items, normally priced at 200++ STPs. 

Material changes: 60 for like-to-like (basic to basic or luxury to luxury) will be discounted to 50. Basic to luxury changes were 120, but for February they will be 100!
Basic mods: 20 STPs per word instead of 30.
New detail: Normally 100, but for February we will do these for 80!

General Reminder about ToS and Rules

Due to recent trends we have had reported to us by multiple sources, please take note of the following:

• Revealing alts is a ToS violation
• Harassment is a ToS violation
• Using OOC communication methods to coerce players into sexual situations IC is strictly prohibited. 

Those found to be in violation of the above will be dealt with on a case by case basis with regard to their individual disciplinary histories. 

To celebrate the upcoming two year anniversary of Allegory of Empires, we are excited to announce a call for entries for a creative arts collection!

All entries are due October 11th, 2021. You can submit as many entries as you wish, but due to space constraints, not all entries will be published in the PDF collection to be released on the anniversary date of  November 1st.

Written works can include poetry, short stories, screenplays, essays, articles, song lyrics, or other written works not to exceed 3,000 words in length. 

Visual arts can include portraits, sketches, logos, landscapes, or any other visual format in whatever medium you are most comfortable working with, including digital works.

Please send all entries to staff AT allegoryofempires DOT com before October 1st. 

High resolution images are preferred for visual arts. We reserve the right to edit all written works for errors and length. Entries will be published online in various formats including a PDF collection as well as across various social media platforms with credit given to the original creator. Please include the name you wish to include in publication (even if it is just a character name) and if you desire, social media links to tag the piece at the time of publication.

As part of the contractual agreement with Skotos and to remain in compliance with various privacy laws, Allegory of Empires will be conducting an account wipe at the end of the year 2020. The specifications for which accounts need to be wiped from the database are as follows:

1 - They HAVE NOT played since the start of the new login system; and
2 - They HAVE NOT paid since the start of the new login system; and

What does this mean for current players? Not much, since you meet at least one of the above criteria. For those that have not logged in, all login details will be wiped. This does not wipe characters from the database. We will be wiping characters after the account wipe has been completed.

The reason for posting this is to hopefully rely on the grapevine and word of mouth to get the news out to those players who have not yet logged into Allegory of Empires. Given the nature of our community, we often maintain contact with those we have played with in the past, so we are hoping that you will be able to reach out among your contacts and spread the word.

After the end of the year 2020, we will wipe all characters that have not transferred from IcO and we will no longer be allowing rerolls on former IcO characters. Those who have not yet played but wish to transfer their characters over while the opportunity remains are encouraged to do so sooner rather than later.
