Poetry & Tea
I am pleased to announce that I will be starting poetry socials for those who wish to learn, listen and or write.
This will consist of a new poetry form at each social with the enjoyment of tea or any other drink you prefer.
This will commence every other Tuesday at nine in the evening in the upper room of the Library.
The library can be found north of the French Consulate.

The first poetry session will commence tomorrow at eight late rather than nine, apologies for the change in time.
We will be writing a poem called the acrostic poetry form.
Books will be provided for those who wish to share!

The next poetry session will commence next Tuesday at the ninth late bell.
We will be writing using the How To theme which consists of writing a poem on how to complete a mundane task that people may or may not take for granted. For example, one could write a poem describing how one might light a fire or eat a cookie. As always, the theme is subjective to the writer's creativity.
The poetry style we will be using is called the Monorhyme form. Further information can be found in the library or at the social itself. All are invited and may prepare their poem in advance or together with the group. I look forward to seeing each of your faces.
Books will be provided for those who have not yet received one!

The next poetry session will commence today at the ninth late bell.
We will be writing using the War & Peace theme which consists of writing a poem on either war or peace, you may even include both. This can be the traditional definition or how you personally view it. As always, the theme is subjective to the writer's creativity.
The poetry style we will be using is called the Septolet form. Further information can be found in the library or at the social itself. All are invited and may prepare their poem in advance or together with the group. I look forward to seeing each of your faces.

The next poetry session will commence tomorrow at the ninth late bell.
We will be writing using the theme of Desserts, which will consist of writing a poem on desserts that you are fond of or even creations you despise. Your options are limitless as it depends entirely on what you personally enjoy or dislike. This event shall take place outside the library this time and will be held in the shop south of the post office, Bella Biscotti.
The poetry style we will be using is called the Tableau form. Further information can be found in the library or at the social itself. All are invited and may prepare their poem in advance or together with the group. I look forward to seeing each of your faces.
