Hey guys this is Margrat's player. I'm going through some real life stuff right now that's making it difficult for me to come online consistently. I know I've been trying to schedule in character meetings with some of you and that I planned to come to lectures some of you guys guys are holding, but I might have to miss some of that and put some some things on hold for a little while.

Without getting too personal one of the things I deal with is seasonal affective disorder and I'm starting to get depressed as the nights get darker earlier. Hopefully I will bounce back soon and be able to to the things I've been planning to do in AoE.

Speaking of things I've been planning to do, I just found out that I might be able to take a short vacation, but it would probably be during the time that I was going to hold an event in October. So I might have to postpone that. But I will try to let people know if I have to miss consulate meetings or anything like that.

I really love this game, so don't worry, I'll be back. This is always a challenging time of the year for me. For those of you who I'm Discord friends with, feel free to ping me if you need to let me know anything important, because I won't be checking in game scrolls as often as I usually do.

I will feel silly about posting this if I'm doing much better in just a few days but it's always hard for me to tell when I start to have a difficult time how long it will last. So I just wanted to let people know ahead of time just in case. I'm not trying to blow anybody off, I just need to take care of myself right now. Love you guys, and happy October! =)

Love,

     Margrat's player

I hope you feel better soon! We'll miss you, but real life always comes first. Focus on feeling better and we'll be here when you get back!

Thank you so much for the support, you guys! <3 I'm starting to feel better. =) I think I just need to stop putting so much pressure on myself to be logged on so much every day to get lps, and milk my cow, and water my plants, and watch the auctions, and design outfits, and check the mail, and plan events, etc., because then I can get worn out and it makes the game start to feel more like a chore.

Let me tell you from experience, I know exactly how that feels. I used to do that in another game and I started doing it here with clothing orders. In the other game, my characters were important in a lot of areas so I felt like I -had- to always be there to help keep things running and going. I eventually realized that I don't -have- to do anything. Especially when it feels more like a job than a fun game. On here, I started down that same path of thinking I had to get orders done and had to do this and that. It's a big part of why I had Orla retire from public orders, sometimes you just have to be okay with stepping away and knowing that the people we love to play with will be okay on their own. The game does not end when we take a break or step away from some duties. So never feel guilty about needing a break!

Now I feel more refreshed and Orla can try new and fun things like learning to cook chocolate soup and making people eat it! I can't wait to have you back in the game and I hope you don't do this to yourself again. I promise we will always be here when you return because we're all too obsessed with this game to stay away for too long.

Awwwww, thanks, Orla! That means a lot to me! <3<3 I took a little break and I feel better now. (Sometimes I also need to take a couple days off to give my eyes a break when they get strained from too much screen time, hehehe. >.>) I'm reading Orla's new paper right now, and omg, the best and worst dressed section totally cracked me up! xD
