Hi, guys. I'm dealing with a *LOT* of stress IRL right now. I just want to let you know that I am going to do my best to separate my real life emotions from my roleplaying. I do have a tendency to let it bleed over sometimes, so if Margrat seems really anxious or depressed without a good in-game reason, feel free to @msg me and just remind me to play Margrat as her usual self. The last thing I want to do is bring other people down with depressing roleplaying. This game is awesome and a great escape from reality when reality sucks, and I love rping with all of you guys. Sometimes I just need a little reminder to compartmentalize my yucky real life emotions, so that I can keep the game fun for everyone. Thank you all for being such fun and supportive people to play with!

You always have friends on AoE. Sometimes roleplaying how you feel in real life is an excellent way to let your brain grasp ideas and thoughts in a way to make sense of issues without closure to them. Basically,  your mind works much better, your perception is heightened, and you handle your emotions better when you can make light of an issue without directly associating it to yourself. Seriously this is scientifically proven!

The Quarterly Journal of Experimental Psychology said that speaking out loud or for this instance roleplaying “switches” something on in your cerebral cortex, where the consciousness of the self lives.

You think more clearly and can grasp concepts and understanding better! So by translating your stress to AOE, your brain is healing itself and gaining a more in-depth understanding to create solutions for your real-life problems!

Also, on a side note, if you ever need to talk or vent to someone completely anonymously without judgment, feel free to hit me up ig or on discord. IRL I been through a lot and figured out how to heal a lot. If you ever need anything at all, please feel free to reach out to me. I will help you to the best of my ability 🙂

Long tangent aside! I really hope everything works out for you, and you are a blast to play with online! I always look forward to seeing you on and the fun it brings!

Awwww, thank you guys so much for your support! <3<3<3 And, Arafel, that is a fascinating tidbit of psychology! Maybe I will try to find a balance between expressing my feelings and keeping "Margrat" from getting too depressed. =)
